A trip to Kalavan

And here’s the story of how the first JDI! 2019 kids’ session went overnight to the revitalised village of Kalavan.

Young archaeologists built a traditional Kalavan hut, went on a mountain hike, caught fish, collected herbs, set up a fire, slept in tents and got involved in local archaeological excavations and village life.

They also re-evaluated the availability of hot water on campus on their return.
