Minji, English teacher from the USA with experience of working with Armenian schools in Istanbul, conducted a workshop on body mapping for the kids from the community of Dilijan and the JUST DILIJAN IT! summer camp. Body mapping is a technique in which participants tell a story through a life-sized drawing of his or her body. They create this map by writing about various prompts and drawing different images and symbols. This takes place in a series of sessions with different themes such as community, identity, and hopes for one’s future. It can be used as a way to share experiences and emotions about their identities, culture, and history. Look at what took place in our colourful photo gallery.
